The ECTRA News Monitor runs in the background, fetching and analyzing crypto news that could affect your open positions. When significant news is detected, it triggers an AI sentiment analysis and sends a Telegram alert.

Claude AI analyzes the combined news context and provides an impact assessment.

Maximum 1 alert per symbol per hour to prevent notification fatigue.

Alert Categories

• Bullish Impact — News likely to push price up (positive for longs, warning for shorts)

• Bearish Impact — News likely to push price down (positive for shorts, warning for longs)

• High Impact Event — FOMC, CPI, NFP, ECB decisions — auto-pause trading recommended

High-impact events (FOMC, CPI, NFP, ECB, BOJ, GDP releases) can cause extreme volatility. The monitor can auto-pause trading when these are detected.

Critical Event Detection

The monitor automatically detects high-impact economic events:

• Federal Reserve (FOMC) decisions

• Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) releases

• Consumer Price Index (CPI) data

• GDP announcements

• ECB and BOJ decisions

When detected, VECTRA can auto-pause trading to avoid the extreme volatility around these events.
